Terms of Service

The Sacred Well is published by Mustard Seed Press. By creating an account you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

The app is free

There is no fee, no subscription, no paid tier, and no advertising. Nothing in the app is sold to you, and nothing about you is sold to anyone else.

Your account

Keep your sign-in details to yourself; you are responsible for what happens under your account. Parents create and manage accounts for their children and are responsible for their household's use of the app.

Fair use

Use the app for personal and family devotional purposes. Do not attempt to disrupt, scrape, reverse-engineer, or overload it or the services it depends on. Do not use the assistants to produce content that is unlawful, or that presents itself as the position of Mustard Seed Press.

What you write is yours

You keep ownership of your notes, prayers, and everything else you create here. You give us only the permission needed to store it and show it back to you and to those you have shared it with.

Scripture, the library, and the assistants

Bible text is provided by Crossway (ESV) and by API.Bible under their own licences and remains subject to them. The commentaries, creeds, confessions, and theological works in the library are in the public domain. The assistants draw on those historical sources; their answers are study aids, not pronouncements, and they can be wrong. Weigh them against Scripture.

No warranty

The app is provided as is, without warranties of any kind. We do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that any answer it gives will be accurate or complete. To the fullest extent the law allows, our liability for any claim arising from your use of it is limited to what you have paid us, which is nothing.

Ending it

You may stop using the app or delete your account whenever you like. We may suspend an account that breaks these terms or puts the service or other households at risk.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts of Florida.

Changes

We may revise these terms. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the revision.
